Native Northern New Yorker (think Canada) and present Washingtonian, working at the juxtaposition of economics and public policy. Undergraduate degree from Plattsburgh College (SUNY) and graduate degree from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy with a concentration on economic development and graduate certificate in science/technology policy. Mostly, I spend my days balancing the between helping manage a strategic research firm (@ndpconsulting) and suppressing the urge to read the entire Internet. Needless to say, I always end the day well-informed. I am most fascinated by public policies that intersect entrepreneurship, communities, and innovation. You’ll find lots of that stuff here and on my Twitter feed (@jmbadlam). You can reach me at jmbadlam@gmail.com.
